The 3M 2023, 1500 Grit, Wet or Dry, Sandpaper is constructed of a silicone carbide mineral which is a better bonding system and has a more flexible backing. Providing a faster cut, longer life, more consistent finish which will reduce sanding and buffing time.
Salesman Note: Works excellent for wet sanding out imperfections in your final coat of clear coat or paint finish. Soak it for 15 minutes in water prior to use to soften the factory cut edges then sand out the imperfection. Once completed, Use a rubbing compound and polish to remove the 1500 grit scratch and bring out the shine.

3M 05530 - is a very flexible foam block
MEG E-7200 - has just the right amount of flexibility and firmness.
MGC SB-1 - has 2 sides, one is more dense for more aggressive cutting and the other is softer for color sanding.
