Car Brite Select Cutting Compound is a low dusting compound with long work time to prevent drying out. Select Cutting Compound is designed to remove 1000 grit sand scratches and will break down with use to leave a high gloss finish.
Using a heavy foam cutting pad or wool cutting pad apply 3 nickel sized amounts of Select Cutting Compound to the pad. Start the polisher (we highly recommend a dual action polisher) at a slow speed and work a 2 x 2 area using medium pressure while tilting the polisher. Ensure to work in both a north-south, then east-west pattern to remove all the scratches. Next, using light pressure with the pad flat, polish the area for 30-40 seconds. Remove any remaining residue with a microfiber towel. If needed, use Car Brite Select Polish to remove minor swirl marks that may be left.
