3M 06380, 1/2 in Automotive Attachment Tape

This double sided tape is incredible. I've been using it to apply accessories and moldings since 1978, first in my automotive trim business and now in my marine accessories business. The most important thing to remember is to first clean all surfaces thoroughly. First with Dawn or Joy and water, then with denatured alcohol, then be sure to use an adhesive activator on all plastic parts before applying the tape. Remember the tape is pressure sensitive so the more pressure applied the better and more completely it sticks. I use a chisel with the cutting edge flattened an a dead blow hammer or a J-roller to apply pressure depending on the application and the shape of the item being attached. Be sure to position correctly before removing the backing tape as it is not repositionable and is VERY difficult to remove and clean the adhesive if you misplace it.
