3M 08088 General Trim Adhesive is a Low VOC, clear, high strength adhesive for bonding automotive materials such as carpeting, jute pads, fabrics and plastics to metal and other surfaces. General Trim Adhesive has good heat and water resistance. General Trim Adhesive is not recommended for bonding vinyl tops, heavyweight headliners, hood silencer pads or polystyrene foam use 3M 08090 Super Trim Adhesive for these applications.
General Trim Adhesive Directions for Use:
- Be sure surfaces are clean and dry.
- Select desired spray pattern and shake well.
- Apply 2 coats of trim adhesive to each surface. Apply the second coat in the opposite direction of the first.
- Allow the trim adhesive to dry until tacky, 1-3 minutes.
- Mate the surfaces to be bonded with firm, uniform pressure.

Used on integra door fabric
I have a 25 year old integra. The door fabric adhesive was wearing out from the sun so I used this to reattach it. It worked great. Make sure to mask off anything you don't want to get glue onto, and remember you don't get second chances with this stuff so you have to really think it through and get it right the first time. I applied if from 3-4 inches away from the surface despite instructions to apply from 6-12 inches away. I was paranoid about the spray of the glue getting out of my control. It came out fine.
