The 3M 08840, Sound Deadening Pads are designed to suppress noise and vibration and can be easily applied. Each sound deadening pad comes with an adhesive backing and are easy to cut into various shapes and will flex and conform in various shapes without the need to use heat.

Directions for using 3M 08840, Sound Deadening Pads:

1. Use 3M 08984 or 3M 08987 General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner to clean and degrease the surface.
2. Cut and prefit the pad prior to removing the backing liner.
3. Remove the backing liner to expose the adhesive backing and reapply to the surface.
4. If the sound deadening pad is required to be painted remove the protective film from the front prior to applying primer and paint.
