The 3M 5973, Rubbing Compound is a specially designed medium cutting compound for rubbing out 1200, 1500, and 2000 sanding scratches in automotive paints including clearcoats. 3M 5973 Rubbing Compound produces minimal compound swirl marks while buffing to a high gloss. When followed by the 3M Perfect-It Foam Polishing Pad Glaze, (i.e. 5995, 5996) this two step system delivers a show-car luster in record time. For use with 3M 05723, 05721, 05723, 05731, 05734, and 05737 Perfect-It Foam Compounding Pads.  VOC content less than 17%.
